Travel is (finally) back on the rise, with destinations near and far opening for tourism. Of course, travel restrictions and re-opening plans can be daunting, especially since things are constantly changing. I recently had the opportunity to take my first international trip since January 2020, and I jumped at the chance to visit one of my favorite countries–Mexico. If you haven’t been to Playa Mujeras, Mexico, you should absolutely add it to your list. Just 30 minutes from the Cancun airport, this beautiful locale feels like a world away, and there is truly something for everyone. Whether it’s a family vacation, romantic getaway, or a trip with friends—this destination caters to all! The area is not overly developed and has a tranquil vibe, but there are enough activities to keep even the most energetic travelers occupied. If lounging by the pool with a cold beverage is more your speed, there are plenty of options for that too.
Vacation in Paradise at Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort
When it comes to resorts, you can’t go wrong with a stay at Dreams Playa Mujeras Golf & Spa Resort. Upon arrival, you immediately feel a sense of peace. No matter the time of day, Dreams Playa Mujeras has so much to offer! Tranquil sunrises and festive sunsets are reminders that you’re vacationing in paradise.
Less Crowds, More Fun
For the cautious travelers, I’d like to mention that it was surprisingly easy to enter Mexico. Even though the Cancun airport was busy, it was noticeably less crowded than I’ve previously experienced. I felt safe through my entire travel experience—the flight, the accommodations, resort dining—everything was clean and staff wore masks. Delta has done a wonderful job of accommodating passengers during the pandemic. Safety measures are explained clearly, and a little extra Lysol and Purell is never a bad thing! The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure a safe environment, and honestly, this is an incredible time to travel and take advantage of fewer crowds. Mexico is welcoming travelers with open arms (from 6-feet away), and I am already planning my next trip to beautiful Playa Mujeras!
