Adventure Travel understands the importance of investing in the places we care about. That’s why we play an active role in our parent company ADTRAV’s community involvement organization–the ADTRAV Community Impact Foundation. Started by ADTRAV and Adventure Travel President and CEO Roger Hale, the ADTRAV Community Impact Foundation (ACIF) was established to give back to the communities where our clients and associates live and work.
About the ADTRAV Community Impact Foundation
Through grant requests submitted by ADTRAV associates, the ADTRAV Community Impact Foundation gives back to the communities where our clients and associates live and work. Since its inception in 2016, the ADTRAV Community Impact Foundation has fulfilled over 50 grant requests from ADTRAV associates for philanthropic organizations across the country.
ADTRAV Associates provide support to the Foundation via ongoing payroll deductions. ADTRAV conducts enrollment/pledge drives that allow associates to support the Foundation with donations on a consistent basis. Associates may also submit grant requests and/or participate as a volunteer member of the ADTRAV Community Service Nonstop Team. In addition to donations made by associates, the Company makes a discretionary donation to the foundation at the beginning of each year.
The Foundation primarily accepts requests for donations from ADTRAV and ADTRAV associates. We also partner with our valued clients to support initiatives important to them. Clients who wish to request donations on behalf of qualified nonprofit organizations should contact their ADTRAV Global Account Manager.
The ADTRAV Community Impact Foundation (ACIF) is now a proud member of the Big 12 Club of the Big Oak Ranch. Members of the Big 12 Club make an annual pledge of $12,000 to cover the cost of raising one child for one year. This commitment covers the basics of food, clothing, housing, and insurance, as well as any emotional and psychological services. This year, through the generosity of ADTRAV associates and their contributions to the ACIF, ADTRAV will support two children at the Big Oak Ranch.
Since 1974, Big Oak Ranch has met the needs of more than 2,000 children, providing loving, stable homes, and has grown from a single farmhouse serving five boys to seven ministry teams serving children from around the world. “We were very moved by the physical and spiritual mission of Big Oak Ranch. The impact Big Oak Ranch has on these children left an impression upon us all at ADTRAV. We are grateful for this opportunity to be a part of the mission at the Big Oak Ranch, and we look forward to continuing to support the admirable efforts of Big Oak Ranch for many years to come,” said Roger Hale, ADTRAV President/CEO.
